When I went by the other day I saw lots of rockwool insulation on trucks, meaning interior work is well underway. Glad to see they're using high quality insulation. Rockwool only reduces STC by 3-5 but it does help, especially with concrete slabs between units. These developments really need to work on the doors though. The main spot I heard sound was through the front door in my old condo. The main reason I desire to never live in an apartment or condo building.

Amazing what a little nuance and some slight curves can do

Thanks Thomax for this update - nice photos! This is a project I believe Hamilton can be proud of - at the least from an aesthetic point of view. I like the presence of this project in the city's core.

what a cute little building!.. Its really exciting seeing Hamilton finally start to add some density and new buildings to hopefully hide all those commie block looking towers. Some really impressive stuff in the works for the Hammer!!

It's funny that the exterior doesn't look much different than 3 months ago, even though this was a very fast build. I'm sure there's not much left to do on the exterior and they're probably getting a lot done on the inside.

Great build.

They were just breaking ground on April 20th, 2022 based on the pictures in this thread... and here we are only 22 months later.

Anyone know what occupancy is expected on this? I recall it being 2024 when they were selling it, but there's no chance it's not sooner than that now.

I bicycle all year for commuting and such, but today the weather was nice enough to go on a leisurely ride around downtown!

On the bike today, and wonder if these were taken at the same time as Maples's ufo flying over downtown...

Great photos, thanks!

I think someone else mentioned it, but ya... there should be no worries about running out of underused lots to build on and other places to redevelop downtown for a long, LONG time. These great aerials really make that apparent.

Once the B-Line is being built, I bet we'll see plenty of plans to fill in those empty lots along King William St.

I think so too. Would love to see 3 or 4 more developments similar in size to Kiwi and 1 Jarvis along that street.

Make it 20 and we've got a deal.

I think the old Century/Lyric Theatre lot will definitely get some action in the next 5-10 years. Could do a really large build there if the adjacent parking lot was part of the deal.
