There is actually quite a bit of construction happening in Downtown London right now for large new apartment builds, the downtown will likely be a lot more vibrant in a decade once they all start occupying.

^^ skyline specifically... I can see London duking it out for third... behind Toronto and Mississauga. .... Hamilton, and Kitchener might have something to say about it.. and eventually Vaughan in the future. ...I'd throw Ottawa into that mix if it had more height.. maybe once Trinity tower development is complete.

As of today Vaughan is already the second-tallest skyline.. Mississauga will take that title in a few months though, and will keep it.. I'd say Mississauga is already #2 overall though for skyline, if not urban experience (which Ottawa obviously takes).

Hamilton has it's downtown height limit which will limit how impressive the skyline can be, even if it experiences an apartment building boom over the next decade as it seems to be posed to experience.

Vaughan and Mississauga will duke it out for height most likely, but Vaughan is limited by the Downsview Flight path to about 200m until Downsview closes.

In terms of skylines in 2030 I can see it roughly being like this:

1. Toronto
2. Mississauga
3. Vaughan
4. London
5. Ottawa
6. Hamilton
7. Kitchener

In terms of urban experience though, it would look quite different..

1. Toronto
2. Ottawa
3. Hamilton
4. London
5. Kitchener

.
52. Vaughan

.
.
365. Mississauga

Now, another subway is set to be built into the real estate mafia region and lesser regions want in the measuring contest with their own bold Go Transit Oriented Communties. The Greater Toronto area's storey is just beginning.

Would love to see the view from the mound at Labatt Park once these towers are completed in the distance.

Love to see cities densifying and growing upwards. Lots of potential in London for a very dense core.

I love the Canadian Pacific tower in Toronto. It's one of the country's best pre-war skyscraper, and at 110 years old, it looks great.

I'm glad it is avoiding the awful Torontonian tradition of butchering and disfiguring it's heritage buildings.
