They should paint over the "is rising" part of the sign.

"The One" refers to the number of people working on the tower

Yeah they’re working away… well underway with forming and rebar for the next level and the final parts of the south podium roof just had a concrete pour (seen in the pic below).
Take it for what it’s worth but ‘those in the know’ claim that they will soon be past the most complicated part of the build (lower floors including Apple Store, south podium, west elevator tower etc.) and more standardized tower floors can be completed every couple of weeks ;-)

thaivic

Cladding is up on most of the podium.

^Hahaha! This thread is the gift that keeps on giving. Unless your idea of a gift is construction progress. That being said, now that they've reached what appears to be the first residential floors, they should easily be able to increase the pace to one floor per month...

Ha! Your optimism is not needed here!

I used to feel excited to take photos of this site....now it's just a game seeing whether they've added more wrappings to the glass or steel or concrete on the podium.

The last floor of the non-typical podium floors was supposed to happen this weekend but was delayed by a small fire on site the night before. It should happen next weekend and then the building will be on to the typical hotel floors and *should* speed up a little bit.

The latest update:

https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/thread...18167/page-759

All the orange tarps are keeping the snow off the area that is going to be the last big pour prior to the typical levels. the one missing area of forms at the bottom left is where the small fire was that damaged the forms, they are in the process of replacing them now.

They have to wait for the weekend as they close Bloor St to accommodate all the concrete trucks needed to pour it at once.

Toronto has also gotten an insane amount of snow in the last 2 weeks which is causing issues on construction sites. It has snowed every day for the last 20 days and Toronto and area has received about 2.5ft of snow over the period, including one giant 1.5ft dumping last week.
