For Modera Prominence Phase II, I watched that drone video of Buckhead that was posted a few days ago and noticed that there was already a fair amount of foundation work in place. Because of the hidden location it's an easy one to miss since you can't see it from the street. Great that it's moving forward.

I mean!! When I saw that Buckhead drone video last week, I was surprised by the activity on the Modera PhII site. Had no idea they were that far along. That's why I made mention because no one was saying anything about it being underway. Good stuff. Looking forward to my Summer 2021 visit so I can catch up on all of the major projects across the City, mostly ITP. Might take almost all day for the drive around with so much going on & going up. I wanna see it all.

The first crane was erected in October. Shortly before that they announced they secured financing.

I find it sleek and modern. It is a nice contrast to much of downtown architecture. Everyone has different opinions.

It basically appears to be a glass box, like almost everything else.
Keep in mind, sleek & modern doesn't always have to come in the form of a shiny box - (See Norman Foster)
Sleek & modern has its place, but when it’s overused, it just becomes boring. I think modern looks best when it’s juxtaposed against something old. (see Europe).
You can’t expect adding shiny smooth surfaces to do all the aesthetic “heavy lifting” or disguise the inherent lack of original design. If your design is inherently unimaginative, you counterbalance by slapping on seemingly upscale materials to compensate. Of course, we know that economics are what dictates everything – a box is cheap & easy.
