Ah right. I just noticed there's no Wall Centre. Had you not mentioned that, I never would have noticed.

We can barely see the missing slice, it's so perfectly placed (Yaletown density, False Creek and a gap near Olympic Village). Well done.

We haven't seen much of Calgary in this thread lately:

I was going to post this in the Commie Block thread, but the search function was unable to find it.

So here it is. Lincoln Fields and Ambleside towers of Ottawa, all built in the 70s. In its eternal wisdom, when the City built the Transitway in the 80s, the goal was to serve the far out suburbs, so they completely skipped over the high density towers of Ambleside (which is 500-1000 meters away from Lincoln Fields station) by routing buses on the Ottawa River Parkway. This will finally be rectified with the opening of New Orchard O-Train station, as part of a new rail tunnel, in 2025.

Great skyline and street shots Scape! Interesting to see similar yet different shots from our photo shoot that day. Good idea by Nite, I was thinking of starting a Victoria thread on the My Photos thread - Scaper should jump in and add yours as well, or vice versa!

Between the two of you those are some of the best Victoria pics I've seen. It looks much more vibrant and dense than I remember it. It absolutely deserves a thread in the city photos section.

Thanks vanman, appreciate that! They probably stand out because they’re not like most tourist photos and postcards that focus on the inner harbour and the old town part that hasn’t changed for decades. Almost no one takes photos of Victoria’s skyline (except for Scaper), it’s rare to come across any new ones on Flickr.
