Another idea for the future of the bridge:

The bridge is refurbished so trains can run on it again, along with cantilevered MUP. When the Trillium Line isn't running, freight trains can run between Ottawa and Gatineau, and non-local truck traffic through downtown can be restricted or outright banned. Eventually, the Trillium Line is double-tracked, with an extra bypass track for freight trains through the stations.
