I like how you think. I saw it as a cute but unimportant feature. Your comment gets to the heart of what makes spaces good.

In fact seating around the fountain is the most essential feature. Not for cuteness,but for social connectivity. Especially when that tree matures, provides natural umbrella. All they need to do is to build it out a bit. Come on, Shape..... you can do it and you should do it.

This fountain distinct itself from any other shopping mall in the lower mainland , including Oakridge and even Park Royal. However Brentwood town center does need time to evolve and mature.

Looks like they are swapping out the beige panels for white! Yay! A photo a took a while ago shows that the first floor used to be beige. I hope they change the colour of the panels on the other side as well..

The third tower is not turning out very great. Not very original and has such random elements. I wish it wouldn't become as tall as the other two to steal any spotlight from them.

Tower 3 being beside Tower 2 means it can't be seen from views from the west. I live in Vancouver in the Kensington Cedar Cottage area and I can't see tower three because tower 2 s in the way. Although I agree with Klazu wish they really had gone with the glazing the went with on tower 1&2 or at the very least had selected a more uniform glazing look.
