Same block, other new rental tower across the street (next to London Drugs). Getting close to completion - exterior construction elevator came down recently.

Re : 1188 Bidwell, a bit hard to tell by the photos but there are large textured panels being installed on the east facade, visible in mcminsen's last pic. They look amazing in person, add interest, dimension and look very high-spec.

Here's a look at the present building on the site. Pic from exactly one year ago.

402 Dunsmuir is Amazons Office 1 of 3 in Vancouver. They have space in Telus Garden, The Exchange Tower, The Post Office, and I think somewhere else downtown as well.

By 401 West Georgia do you Mean 410 West Georgia? If so that is Apples Vancouver future office space for its staff and will be Deloitte's new permanent Main Downtown office. Deloitte has recently temporarily moved to the old Tom Lee building on Granville until their offices at 410 West Georgia is ready for occupancy.

401 West Georgia is the address of the existing tower on the 402 Dunsmuir site and I think, was the reference address for the DP application.

It has been posted on the forum that work will also be done to the original Georgia side plaza of 401 West Georgia, but no real signs of work yet.

Why render what will block the view of one of the best selling points... It's marketed by Rennie so it's no wonder they are selling a concrete box building as "old-world glamour" with fake views. Not targeted to local buyers who know the reality of the situation in other words... Rennie being Rennie.

Thanks guys. Are here any renders of that project? Seems pretty big to not have its own thread (how many floors will it be?)

410 West Georgia on the lower left, 401 West Georgia in the middle (former Bank of Montreal site), 402 Dunsmuir on the right (with orange tarps).

Here’s a new (to me, at least) proposal for the southwest corner of Georgia at Nicola. It’s for the surface parking lot adjacent to the older rental building shown in my second picture.

(My pictures, today)

Umm, don't think they're keeping the older rental tower. It's getting demo'ed in favour pricy condos and expensive rental units (which only the city would have the gall to deem "affordable").
