So correct me please. So when these forms are done going diagonal they are going to start going vertical and the forms that are going straight veritcal now are going to connect to the diagonal one to start making the floor plates?

Wind tunnel scale models are very effective tools that help architects and structural engineers determine where lateral and seismic loads will be most detrimental to the structure on the actual highrise. That is what determined where the pass-through floor would be located. It is not arbitrary.

When I was working on the original Aqua hotel back in 2008, the drawings showed shear walls that were 5'-6" thick (or something like that). Being 9 years younger and a lot more naive in my career, I thought it was a typo....until my first site observation (alongside the same contractor and developer) and sure as shit, those shear walls were legit that thick because they ran up almost the entire height of that building.

This project is obviously a 'little' different, but methodology and standards of care are the same, considering the architect, developer and contractor are the same (with the addition of Wanda for Vista).

^Ha Ha no. I think Harry was kidding. Here in the HVAC industry we only get as precise as about an 1/8" inch. We also have a saying; "Good enough for government work".

Power Construction is the GC on GEMS, McHugh is the GC on Vista. The two companies have a good relationship, Power some times hires McHugh to perform concrete work. They would not share one of Vista's crane as each project will need its own dedicated crane. Glad to see this getting started!
