I sure wish Centre Square Place would attract some activity. Aside from the gallery, the other tenant that was there is already gone. On the other hand, Canterbury Park is filling up nicely. I stopped in at Bach and Beyond and it's really nice in the newer North building. I hear that perhaps a bank has leased space.

When we all laughed about the Dundurn megamall, many people said "it's private funds, who cares what they do with their money". Now it is becoming clear to me the kind of questionable outcomes that can arise from allowing such flagrantly unethical schemes to go on in our own backyard.

Now the lunacy of Brightenview spending exorbitant amounts to try to build something where there is no market is being used by our own highest elected official to justify potential criminal/fraudulent activity by one of his own party.

The GTH land deals are 100% about government failing to control its boundaries and land acquisitions in a reasonable manner. To suggest that Brad Wall personally directed the sales to occur is heading in the wrong direction.

Brewed Awakenings would be a better fit as the local walking traffic is low and there's no room for Second Cup's favorite drive through.

It will be nice to have a hotel for patient's families (or patients) to stay at when coming into town for treatment. Also good for Agribition and stuff like that, it's pretty close.

It will be perfect for hockey and soccer teams/families playing in tournaments next door Suites are great for this. There is even a liquor store for the parents

The City seems to be doing a much better job posting current zoning apps. This gives you an idea of what might hit the RPC agenda in coming weeks/months. Unfortunately they do not post any detailed info so you would have to send them an email request or wait for it to be on an RPC agenda.

Kind of an off-topic question but I thought if anyone could answer it, you guys could!

I've noticed that on some intersections you can't turn left on a normal green light, while on others you can. From what I've been able to notice myself, it seems that on any road above 50km/h you can't turn left on normal freen, but on anything below that you can. An example would be Parliament and Lewvan, where Parliament can turn left any time, while the Lewvan traffic is not allowed to do so.

Is this the rule they use, </> 50km/h being the divider?

I don't know how they decide but it's not that because you can make unprotected left turns in Ross Ave where the speed limit is 70 km/h. Maybe traffic volume or road width/number of lanes have something to do with it. I think they tend to be streets with more lanes and therefore further to go to get across...Vic E, Lewvan/Pasqua N, 9th N/Ring Rd, etc.

Some of that and I think some are a reaction to previous fatal collisions. One intersection of Lewvan (4th maybe?) put up no left turn signs after pressure following one such event 5 or so years back.

...and then there are some intersections where the left turn arrow begins at the end of the cycle (instead of at the beginning). One such intersection is Saskatchewan Drive & Hamilton Street. Does anyone know what the reasoning is behind this?
