DELAYED AGAIN.

We are informing you of a new delay in occupancy of your suite. Due to some unexpected and additional items identified as required for occupancy by various City Inspectors on Thursday of this week (that will take 5-10 days for the site to complete,) we are giving you a revised firm occupancy date of 1 April 2015.

We are working very hard to ensure that your suite is complete in a timely fashion at a level of style and quality that we envisioned. With the new and unexpected requirements clearly identified by the City, and the site working diligently, we believe there should be no more extensions beyond this one.

This is fucking despicable.

And how many times have they said that there would be no more extensions beyond this one. Yeah like I believe any of the fucking lies out of your mouth at this point, Lamb.

Wow 1 business days notice, that is ridiculous. I would be getting in touch with legal representation to find out what kind of options you have in terms of a group litigation against the builder/electrician/Fortress at this point. You are owed far more than what Tarion will cover.

Once we (actually) move in, I would definitely like to inquire about this and see if it's a viable option. It's good that we have a starting base here of several owners who have been affected.

I've actually inquired with my lawyer already regarding the viability of legal action but he hasn't gotten back to me at all about it since his legal assistant forwarded him the information a few weeks ago.

Won't be making the mistake again of buying a pre-build.

Although I have only just started this process myself with Tamarack, from everything I have heard this sounds more like an exception rather than the rule. I think it's safe to say buying a pre-built Lamb building is the mistake.

I went to see the Soba sales centre last year and Lamb was there. I just got a snooty Toronto vibe from the place. It's a shame the Nuovo project was cancelled as that was a stark contrast to what I saw at Soba. Just felt like home rather than a millionaire trying to sell you a condo to make him more millions

Yup, that was my boyfriend's tweet (the list of dates). LOL. Brad Lamb can't handle the truth apparently. Manny - I don't think you got him blocked, Lamb would've blocked him anyway hah. We just thought it was amusing that Lamb can't handle a little dose of truth.

Stevenson - yup, I actually preferred other projects to this one but the location was too convenient for me to pass up (a block from my former office which I'll be going back to in a few months, right in Centretown and a short walk to the bus stop to get to the Market, etc).

Thought I'm chime in for the first time seeing I cannot contain my pent up angst over this project. I've learned a lot, especially from the regular contributors. A great thanks to you all

I wanted to bring to your attention that when we signed the Sales Agreement way back in 2011 for a bunch of us, the condo fee was 42 cents per sqf. Now it stands at 50 cents per sqf. How the heck is this remotely possible ? Not one day of occupancy has occurred and the rate has gone up to pay for for what ?, the Helipad on the roof, the valet service, the champagne that will greet us whenever we enter building. What the hell are we paying for

Please your thoughts. Is this legal ? And who is the top real estate lawyer in Ottawa.

That's a new one (for me). Condo fees almost always go up after the condo corp is formed, but I've not heard of a case before where it went up between purchase and occupancy.
