I just stumbled across this one, and don't really know anything about it, but it sounds like good news for Salem.

Urban Renewal Agency to consider grant for developer

The city of Salem's Urban Renewal Agency is expected on Monday to consider a development agreement for a proposed rehabilitation center and office building on the former Boise Cascade site.

The major component of that agreement includes awarding the developer an urban renewal grant of no more than $749,999.

In January, the city signed a purchase agreement to acquire 3.8 acres of land, known as the Park Parcel, to be used for an expansion of Riverfront Park.
