I'm sure happy with the way this building has turned out.
I'm glad we didn't get that foreboding hexagonal bolt that was first proposed.
That this was even a project was a pleasant surprise. But I'm still very disappointed in how subdued the glass frit is. It would have been much more unique and sympathetic to the marine building if the glass had more of a whitish impression than the current dark blue

Stronly agreed .... but it could have been something much worse, like that hexagonal thing first proposed ....We just have to appreciate it and learn to make the most of it.
There's no turning back now.
MNP Tower welcomes first tenant as Regus opens new flex workspaces in Metro Vancouver

On Tuesday (February 10), Regus became the first tenant to move into MNP Tower. The largest tenant in the building will be MNP, which at first was reluctant to have the tower carry its name.
Berger said the goal is to fill the flexible workspace with clients as quickly as possible. The firm specializes in providing businesses with co-working space, offices, meeting rooms and administrative services.
MNP's brand will adorn a pillar outside the building, but there will be no signage at the top because that would mar the look of the sleek and curved design, said Oxford's director of leasing, Chuck We.
Having the tower branded the MNP Tower did not cost anything extra. The branding perk simply came as part of the leasing package for being the structure's first and largest tenant.

While I'm told that other tenants are quite behind schedule in getting into their premisesto do their fit-up because base building work remains to be completed by the landlord still.

Isn't that nice to see. It makes me think how it would've been nice if the shrangri las crane could've been properly hidden.
What are you talking about? It can be hidden just as well, but they just rarely do so. I don't know why that is, but I don't think there is any technical reason for it. I have seen it completely hidden many times.

I have never ever seen it retracted (and I can see it from my place) Next time you notice it retracted take a pic!! I would love to see that
Now this is going back like 7 years (and I can totally be wrong in this) but as I remeber it Shanghai la added a floor but in order to stay within the height limit they reduced the height of the fins on the roof that would have better covered the crane.
Was on the roof of Guinness Tower for a photo op for the Prostate Canada Step-Up Stairclimb Challenge (the only one we when to the roof of)
Be forewarned - its' 5 towers, but they don't tell you that you do them multiple times.

Just noticed the unusual bottom flare-out of the glass-windows? Maybe when they were filming that recent Godzilla movie, the big fella tried to rip the glass off the building maybe?
