I was trying to explain why Bisnow might report what it did ... But seems clear they are late to the party or something...

I walked by there yesterday, are the scrubbing that starbucks as well? I noticed they only had the tower portion fenced off, but it's really close to the Hotel property on that portion.

Good question. I honestly do not know what will become of those buildings facing 14th street? Anyone know?
Thanks

I think this will be one of the more fun one's to watch. Correct me if I am wrong, but won't this be the tallest "Skyhouse" to date for any city??

Starbucks stays, the others at the corner go. The tower goes along 13th from the corner to behind the Starbucks. Parking ramps etc. go toward the hotel.

Edit: Here's a site plan.

Does anyone know what is happening along Executive Park south of North Druid Hills? I don't see anything on the Dev Map, but there is a huge chunk of land that is graded and his tons of equipment on it. Another building that was previously there has been torn down (this isn't the tower that was imploded - although it's close, just a bit south). Anyone know?

Aspire North Druid Hills Apartments - 310 units.

Here's the only rendering I can find:

Edit: Here is an additional rendering and site plan from the Brookhaven post (http://www.brookhavenpost.co/aspire-nort...munity-underway-in-executive-park/26566/):

Man - That is nothing short of ugly in terms of layout. Surrounding it with parking? Seems Bizarre given all other development in the area.

Wonder whether that was permitted by DeKalb or city of Brookhaven?

Based on my understanding of that area, I believe that would follow under unincorporated Dekalb. Brookhaven is further north.

Executive Park was annexed by Brookhaven effective January 1st. So it is now in Brookhaven. Construction (including the demo of an existing structure) began in October 2014. I believe that means the zoning (if needed) and permits were done by DeKalb County prior to the annexation.

Is this the former Club Jaguar site? I had no idea anything was planned for that site. The area of W Ptree between 15th and 16th is going to be very busy soon!

If so, that would be cool...though I never understood why no one had tried to open a club there again.

Wow, it is really ugly. Maybe DeKalb just wanted to give Brookhaven a parting poke in the eye.
