Do they mean the south west corner? There is already something on the NW corner of 11th and Peachtree Walk.

Testing and commissioning will take so long that they have plenty of time to work on the deck and front portion.

I work at NCR and it was finally announced today by the CEO that they will be moving and consolidating metro Atlanta offices next to the new Centergy Tower in Midtown to create their world Headquarters campus (as was rumored early last year). The plan is to be moved in by 2018. The campus will be on a 4 acre plot

so that's the whole lot between centergy 2 and 8th? what are we talking about here— towers, a couple of short buildings, street retail? i am cautiously excited.

There are around 4000 employees total in the metro Atlanta offices.

It doesn't say much specifics except it does say it will be part of a development called Centergy North, and will occupy between 5th and 8th Streets on Spring.

edit: also they will be scouting for a secondary Northern Atlanta Suburb campus but no details on where that will be located. I hope it will be in Perimeter because at least if my team ends up there I can then start using Marta

I posted this last March. I wonder if this is the area NCR selected?

Centergy North

Regent Partners bought the 50 Allen Plaza site and it is far from dead. Regent Partners was the developer of 3344 Peachtree building in Buckhead and they have deep pockets.

***My sources tell me a large NY based Insurance company is considering this site for their new HQ for 5000+ employees. Stay tuned - announcement likely before May.

Thanks for sharing! Amazing news that such a large organization is moving to Midtown and not to Perimeter. It will be great to have more IT related job possibilities in the area.

NCR moving to Midtown: bringing 3,500 to 4,000 jobs into the city

The AJC is reporting that:
NCR Corp. announced Tuesday that is moving its corporate headquarters to Midtown, ending months of rumors that it was leaving Gwinnett County for more fertile ground near Georgia Tech.

The company also announced that it would build a second campus in the northern suburbs of metro Atlanta.

Further deets:
The Atlanta Business Chronicle is reporting that the project is bringing up to 3,500 to 4,000 jobs into the city.
http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/real_...ting-to-midtown-bringing-3-500-to-4.html

The new campus will be located at Centergy North at Technology Square on Spring Street, and will provide NCR with a state-of-the-art presence close to Atlanta’s rich innovation centers and leading academic institutions. In addition to helping the company consolidate a number of disparate facilities into unified and contemporary work environments, improved access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will make it easier for financial services, retail and hospitality customers from all over the world to visit Atlanta and experience NCR’s innovative technology solutions first hand.

“Creating a state-of-the-art campus in midtown Atlanta near Georgia Tech marks an important step in NCR’s reinvention as an exciting and important, global technology company,” said NCR Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti. “You can count on your hand the number of successful technology company reinventions that have been executed over the last hundred years – and NCR is amongst them. NCR runs global commerce and we make the everyday easier as consumers connect, interact and transact with business. We are extremely proud of the important innovations we create and the valuable work done on behalf of our customers around the world right here in metro Atlanta.”

The new campus in midtown Atlanta will be ready late in 2017 or early in 2018.

Seems like they would need considerable larger buildings than 8-10 stories to fit that many employees into that space.

I agree - considering Mercedes-Benz's HQ is going to be 250,000 sqft for 1,000 employees. One could assume NCR would need 1,000,000 sqft for 4,000 employees.

The new Midtown campus will be ready in late 2017 or early 2018, the company said. The current site plan calls for a mix of 8-to-10-story buildings with up to 1.5 million square feet of office, hotel and potentially retail space to serve the city's booming startup community around Georgia Tech. NCR has an agreement to buy the entire 4-acre property.http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/real_...ting-to-midtown-bringing-3-500-to-4.html
