Back from Kelowna on the 29th, plane was delayed by an hour, and had to wait another hour at 1am to get baggage

Response from WJ was that several planes had landed at once and the ground crew was backlogged.

Expect another announcement in the next bit.

This is a YEG and YYC gain. No its not DL to SEA…. That one is coming soon enough.

I can't say much.

Ok, don't tell us what it is, tell us what it isn't.

Can you rule these out?:

Cathay Pacific
China Airlines
ANA
Korean Air
Turkish

I'm rooting for this too, although you confused me with the "DF".

If it is AM to MEX I wonder if it will be two separate flights to YEG and YYC or if they will tag us together on a single flight?

I was referring to the City not airport. If you are Mexican and/or Spanish speaking inside Mexico speaking and about Mexico City - you just say Mexico and everyone understands that means Mexico City or DF. Here in Vallarta we refer to Mexico City as Mexico and more often as DF and people understand based on sentence context. DF=District Federal just like DC=District of Colombia. I assume AM flight will be to Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) but they could surprise us with flights from Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (GDL) which for Edmonton could be better with the strong linkages between the Universities of Alberta and Guadalajara and UofG Puerto Vallarta campus.

Just my speculation and without any insight into AM plans for expansion.

With the introduction of the DFW w/ AA in April, there is a bit of a price war going on between places like MIA and DFW. A lot are priced around $480 by Air Canada/UAL and DL and around $580 on AA.

Great pic, thanks for sharing!

There is also a Frontier 320 in the background, likely a Laughlin or Wendover charter to take senior to the casino.

Also interesting the 777 takes out gates 62-64-66. That's a lot of real estate given up for the group E aircraft. Are the other gates that can handle group E or F aircraft without taking up 2-3 adjacent gates?

Is this typical of airports or just typical of our airport that doesn't get many wide bodies. That's quite the loss in gates for one aircraft.

What class is a 757 and 767? And is the 777 in the picture a 200 or 300? I think there is a 10m difference in length between the two.
