Good updates, harry. Dec 13th, 3rd shot really enhances the detailing of this tower. Also disappointed but not surprised we can't see the demo of the crane platform. Better order those drinks now.

While I'm still disappointed this isn't the original Waterview Tower, I'm very happy it's turning out better than the renders!

Whatever. I'll wait for it's completion before I judge it. But so far, I don't have any issues with the way it looks. I wish that really sick stacked design could have been built instead, but that's in the past. What I'm seeing so far is 1000 times better than the embarrassment that sat here before... and that's really all that matters.

Lol! You usually judge a project from the first renderings (good or bad), but this one you'll wait for completion!? I have to say, the second half of this project has been very exciting to watch almost daily. I really hope they correct the window issues though. The casually observer will never care to notice, but it will always be there and not look right to me until they correctly alignment.

Here's to hoping that the tower's "ultra-luxury" renters will not rent units with such sloppy glass curtain walls; perhaps Related would finally own up and fix the aesthetic issues then.

I don't know if there's anyone else here who spent much time in Grand Rapids, but this and some of the other shiny, flat buildings that have gone up in the last few years put me strongly in mind of the Amway Grand Plaza.

Yeah, that stacked cantilevered design was awesome, but what we ended up with is still so much better than the initial Waterview design.

THIS. I don't give a sh#t that it's 30 stories shorter; what was finally created is STILL above and beyond the original derivative, rote design that was bequeathed upon the City.
