Jones Lang LaSalle is probably planning substantial renovation/expansion of Bel Air Mall in time for the shopping center's 50th anniversary in 2017. The Sears' wing could be the focus of the expansion, with a new to the market fast-fashion junior anchor replacing Books-A-Million. After closing, Sears itself could either be demolished for an open air promenade of lifestyle tenants (Apple, Coach, possible relocated Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma), or it could be renovated for a new Macy's store.
