The Saddlery Lofts... what a blast from the past. That must be about 8 or 9 years old.

After a meagre attempt at sales, the whole project just sort of faded away. It predates the current generation of downtown condo construction, so it would have been a pretty unusual and bold project by the standards of that time. I don't recall who the developer was, but I do remember the design was roundly criticized around here (even though the idea of a residential development there was pretty popular). Of course, had it been built I'm sure it would have ended up looking a lot different, probably with some healthy dollops of stucco as was common practice then.

With the new Project W going up on the next block and the other developments in the area, I would think that site could be developed with something better than that now.
