except North Korea has *NO* street lighting that can be seen from space. (except for pyongyang, for propaganda purposes).

While the surrounding countries have more light pollution at night since 1992, N Korea doesn't.

Why? I see those signs in many places, having huge flocks of birds at a station's entrance is an incredible announce and actually a health hazard as well, they are there simply because people keep pouring bird feed all over the ground there, sometimes it gets really disgusting.

I was actually going for the irony of the misspelling - and not feeding the "Wild Life" in the entertainment zone...

I just meant to say that those people that feed the birds around there are probably not going to care about a sign. And the people who would care about it aren't feeding pigeons on Granville Street.

Don't know where to put this "Stanley Park" photos... Can anyone tell me if there's a Stanley Park specific thread?

I posted a bunch of photos in the Lower Lonsdale thread but this has to be one of the better shots of the Vancouver skyline that I've taken.

Nice shot. I was glad to see that North Van will be building a new and expanded museum down near the Quay.

One could barely see yesterday's fireworks from our apartment. The triple pane windows are also not very photo-friendly from this angle. I wish we would have a balcony.

Helicopter flying around with search light on after the fireworks.
