Too walkable and far too much green/amenity space.

Looks like there`s a tower crane sub-base sitting in the east lot at the old ELPP (RAM) site

6 feet down already though, in only a day or two?? Didn't take long at all!It shouldn't take too long until we see steel going up on Dub's 107st. project, given it's slim design and site.

I'm sure this has been mentioned here, but what is the parking situation at 107th? They going down a level or two? Site seems so tight for ANY parking...

SO many holes in the ground already, and the arena hasn't even broken ground yet. Great to see!

Lots of cranes will be sprouting up soon, can't wait to see the arena, RAM, Encore, Man2, etc going up the next few years

Columbia BLVD (105ave) back on track???

105 Avenue Streetscape

About the Project
105 Avenue is emerging as a key corridor in the revitalization of the north edge of Downtown. In 2014, the City will begin streetscape improvements to help make 105 Avenue more accessible, better designed and pedestrian-friendly.

The design will focus on 105 Avenue between 109 Street and 119 Street, with the construction limits to be confirmed based on the budget available and scope of work. Future streetscape improvements will be determined based on funding availability.

Where We Are Today
105 Avenue Streetscape is now in the design stage. Roadway construction is expected to begin in spring 2014 with completion dependent on the limits identified during design.

Pile load test. Not a crane.

Discussion this morning with Ian and others about amount of construction activity in and around downtown in the next few years, peaking in 2015.

I think Whyteknight needs to do a construction map. City and businesses bracing to educate people on all the construction and 'short term pain' is good.

2014
- Replacement of water 'superpipe' on 105 Street from 100 Ave to 111 Ave. Tunnelling underground, but many access points.
- Walterdale Bridge
- 102 Avenue 'cut and cover' for LRT utility relocation
- Complete closure of 95 St and Jasper Avenue 'five corners' for LRT tunnel
- Arena(?), RAM, condo towers, KR, Norquest, MacEwan Arts, and so on.
