Actually Cranbrook and Prince George have both offered incentives for a trial run to the airline! And you'd all be wrong Emirates has stated it plans to open a international super hub gateway in Inuvik!!! Get your damn facts straight!!!!

Perhaps you can use your influence to persude airlines to provide YEG with more routes?

It does not appear that EIAA has had any success recently.

I thought LaRonge was to be Emirates' other mega fortress! Dammit! Why am I the last to know about all the recent developments? Inuvik, btw, has been selected by Lichtenstein as the test location for its manned space flights destined for Uranus.

EIA is still using Carol are they not? I get the strategy that she has exposure to a lot more airlines while being in YYZ and that EIA also seems to think there is no one qualified enough within Alberta to do the job (as I have heard it.)but really has YEG seen any major developments in the route department that she can take credit for??? I don't atall mean to be offensive since The GTAA feels confident in her abilities.

I'd love to come back (seasonally.) but I'm a little over winter in Alberta... Although YEGGERs sure do love coming here...

There are a number of routes I can see being very viable from YEG such as DFW, EWR and yes even FRA but that's not my department...

Carol is in TO not because she is close to other airlines. She is there because her family is there and when offered the job she declined b/c she did not want to come to Edmonton. True story. EIA then came back and said she can work from her home in TO.
Think about it, how does an airline perceive Edmonton and EIA when the Air Service Development Director does not even live in the same City.

Exactly. Zip credibility...for ERAA. Plus she fly's back and forth to YYZ...if on AC...how is this motivating for AC...I mean really........

There are plans for a massive amount of industrial north of the airport that is likely to drive the need for transportation improvements in the area far before Port Alberta does anything. Just take a look through Leduc county's ASP availible online.

Pray that she's on contract and that it can be cancelled with minimal pain, or run through to expiry and then not renewed.

@SHO, exactly...Remington is currently developing their Crossroads Industrial/Business Park NW of the QEII and Highway 19. They are hoping to develop this as a massive distribution and logistics hub.

Would be nice to see LHR go to Daily year round.

With WS and BA now in a codeshare AC is going to see more pressure.

Having seen how well Iceland Air is doing out of DEN, it would be nice to see them attempt YEG. 757's are great sized AC for our market.

Transborder numbers are starting to stablize. I think United is starting to see the beauty of their IAH routes, and seeing that they can reduce other flights out of YEG (ie, DEN/SFO)

I think it would be awesome if Icelandair had service to YEG. A relaxing 6 hour flight to Reykavik and a seemless transfer to many european destinations. Far better transfer than LHR and much lower airport fees

New bits of YEG were good last week. In T1 now awaiting return. T1s selections barely on par with us now IMO given the diff sizes.

This was definitely a good tour. #78 and 79 of the 787 were being built. Funny that only 25 have been delivered. A lot of metal part on the east side of the field.
