I agree with that. The Durst Organization has a lot of confidene in this tower, as it should. The upper floors of the tower will be kept off the market for now because they want to lease those floors for what they will go for when things pick up.

I don't know if it's going to make you feel any better or not STR, but I noticed. I think I said this before, but I will repeat myself.

STR's renderings are the best most accurate rendering of this tower until the real thing is finished !

Personally I think all the folks complaining about the glass and the curtain wall in general are just ignorant about such things.

I have been working in construction for over 30 years and this tower is going to be beautiful

(STR I know some people, they do things to people, for a price of course, I'll pick up the tab.)

STR's renderings are indeed incredible and I love looking at them too -- I hadn't noticed how the seams of the glass along the edge of the tower line up until the new closeups photos of the construction. In the totality of the facade maybe the seams don't look as awkward, but then again as Charles Eames said, “The details are not the details. They make the design.”

Love that render capture, STR. 1 WTC looks spectacular from that angle and you can clearly see the descending height relationship from 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 WTC. Never noticed the different height step outs on the North and South sides of 3 WTC until your renders. Can't wait to be able to look up at the real towers from that angle.

Is this about the vertical seam on the 3rd office floor between the glass and how it ends there and dosn't go to a point on the 4th office floor. And also how the horizontal lines go from glass to trim to glass and don't appear to be a straight line. On to something else now 641' floor 54

I'm not sure what you would expect the designer or glass manufacturer to do. It's and angle. At some point and time (and it will repeat again all the way up the building) you are either going to have a seam or a larger pane of glass. You can only make a sliver of glazing so small and be able to securely attach it to the building.

Yes, I see what you mean, sw5710, it looks like this will happen at 6 and 7, 9 and 10, 12 and 13 and so on... It will probably look less awkward in the entire context. Plus from a distance and with sun reflecting off the stainless steel as in the 2nd to last photo in NYCLuver's post above you can barely notice.

STRs post shows how it will look. And the scale model that was built at least 1 year ago probly several was 30or 40' tall. It had the same lines ending the same way.
