Talisker Mountain Inc (the actual name of the entity that now owns the canyons), is a subsidiary of Talisker Corp. which is a worldwide real estate investment company based out of Toronto. TMI was created by Talisker in 1999 when Talisker began the Empire Canyon project at Deer Valley and have since developedthe Tuyahe club east of PC. Both Vail and Talisker were interested in the canyons for their residential real estate potential, the ski resort is an amenity to them.
