Weekend Event ...

Short notice, but there's a talk this weekend on the Rumley Building ...

Saskatoon Heritage Society

Box 7051, Saskatoon S7K 4J1

Announcing the Heritage Society’s President’s Levee

Please join members of the Heritage Society in this informal social gathering Sunday January 6th 2008, 2:00pm at the Marr Residence, 326, 11th Street East.

The focus of the Levee will be on “Landmarks, not Landfill”. Architect Heney Klypak will introduce the theme by talking about his work in adapting and renovating the Rumley Building, one of Saskatoon’s most distinguished warehouses. A time for discussion will follow.

This is an opportunity to socialize with friends and colleagues in a heritage setting as we celebrate the beginning of the New Year. Refreshments will be served.

Further information: Peggy at 652-9801

CtrlAltDel, I like your Shell tower more than your Cameco tower (if competition matters). The yellow stripe on black really cuts nicely into the glass, the sloping shaped roof is eye catching and overall a great addition...well done, you've created Saskatoon's one and only fantasy skyline

Edit: I completely missed the Lake Placid proposal peeking through Renaissance and Radisson, too busy gawking at Shell's tower

Back to the Lake Placid proposal, wouldn't it appear to the left of the Renaissance tower, closer to the river? That's the only critical comment, otherwise the exhaust, reflections onto the river, Saskatoon Square reflected in Shell all help to create a more real than fantasy skyline...your having too much fun

By your judgment, what are the details on the Cameco and Shell towers? height, floors, etc.

If your tired of fantasies, come to Regina

All kidding aside, a Cameco tower in Saskatoon would be a great thing to see and a Shell tower will add to an already beautiful Regina skyline.

Sorry Migs, I hate to burst your bubble, but Regina is no fantasy. Unless you are from Balgonie.

Fantasy = photoshopped photos of Saskatoon's downtown.
Reality = real Regina photos like the one I posted above.

For more enjoyment and hundreds of incredible pics my many different photographers, check out this facebook group!!!

That said, Regina, Saskatoon, and Saskatchewan as a whole are the real deal!!!!!!!!

^^I'll take a pass on the Regina booster club, thanks for the invite though...

Back to Fantasy......

CtrlAltDel's drawings remind me of the one I did a while back. I say all three would look great. Just need to add the potash Corp Logo on it.

Nah, I'll move to Disneyland before I even consider moving to Regina

Besides, the sorcerer's apprentice will soon arrive and begin working his magic on Toontown.

We are here to dream, we are not concerned with current realities

Source

*Note - sorcerer's apprentice could represent any number of things/people/objects/concepts/ideas...sorcery is not involved in the development of Saskatoon.

Also one more thing, a fantasy Saskatoon is so much better than the real Regina

Looks good swilley

Is Cameco the taller one and the smaller one PCS?

Yeah, no worries CCF.

Saskatoon will develop a CFL team soon too, it's on our list of priorities (long list).

Actually, I would love if Saskatoon was able to get a CFL team....provided that SK could support both teams.

I was wondering how much office space there is a demand for in saskatoon. Like how how many sq. ft. is needed in downtown saskatoon.
