School Districts by Highest Educational Attainment

This is the percent of adults living in a school district with a bachelor degree or higher at a rate of 65% or higher. There are a ton of districts in the 55%-64% range, but I chose 65% as the baseline.

Some observations:
2 big city districts made the cut: Seattle and DC

Many states have school districts divided by county, which makes Fairfield County all the more impressive because that is a geography with over 1 million people.

Otherwise, not too many surprises.

Also, I did High School districts and Unified districts, didn't include elementary districts.

Legit shocked that New Trier high school district (winnetka/glencoe/wilmette/kenilworth) in Chicagoland didn't make the cut.

And somehow Evanston did?

Wouldn't have guessed that in a billion years.

...and probably a number of others.

Wasn't Evanston the school district that John and Joan Cusack went to and possibly Jeremy Piven as well? And Northwestern university is close by.

This list is just a list of counties with the fewest blacks and Appalachian whites.

sorry guys, I did the 1-year estimates, which only covers larger school districts, , you are all correct as well, but those numbers are from the 5-year estimates, which covers all districts regardless of size.
