Around 55% occupancy for 2025.

Quote:
Creative Energy notes that occupancy data for customer buildings is not typically available to it
as a utility. The occupancy estimates presented above represent Creative Energy's best
estimates based on information available from the developer at the time of this response. The
Residential Tower has not obtained occupancy permits for the top three floors, with the
occupancy permit anticipated in Q2 2026. The developer expects higher occupancy levels for
the Residential Tower by the end of 2026 but it is unable to quantify the expected level at this
time.
Seems like the Beatty Steam Plant will be operation until at least 2029.

Quote:
As noted in Appendix K of the Application, the timeline for decommissioning the existing Beatty
Steam Plant and commissioning the New Beatty Energy Center is uncertain. Creative Energy
continues to work with the Developer toward a path to completion. Recent progress has been
encouraging, with planning for the project having restarted and the Developer making progress
on the Phase 1 building construction. Creative Energy will provide further updates to the
Commission as the project timeline becomes more certain.

There are multiple on the MLS that are listed at 800k to 1.2m below closing, and some are listed at 40% below closing

Wow, that's crazy! That is why I'm really curious to see how well Oakridge sold.

Subcontractor seeks nearly $1M for alleged unpaid work on Vancouver Westbank tower
Breach of contract alleged against affiliate of luxury developer
Jami Makan

A lawsuit claims a subcontractor is owed nearly $1 million for unpaid work and materials supplied to legal entities involved in a high-profile residential tower by Vancouver-based developer Westbank Corp.

Pacific Waterproofing Ltd. is seeking judgment against defendants Nelson Burrard Property Inc. (NB Property), Nelson Burrard Holdings Inc. (NB Holdings) and Icon West Construction Corp., according to an April 20 civil claim in the B.C. Supreme Court....

...The plaintiff alleges three invoices from July 2024 and November and December 2025 remain unpaid, and that a total of $947,521.15 is owed....

Weird interiors aside, at least it's unique looking and adds to the skyline.

By me today.

I noticed a different species of tree in the sidewalk on Burrard St. next to the First Baptist Church.
Google search says it's a "Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica)"

Based on the autumn foliage colour shown on-line, they could be the same trees as around Library Square - but those ones don't have the flowers on them.

FYI, you can look up city trees in Vanmap.

Thanks.

Yes, the Homer St. side of Library Square has:

WILDFIRE BLACKGUM
Botanical Name NYSSA SYLVATICA WILDFIRE

But in the few years they've been planted, I don't think I have seen them flower, and they look a lot more spindley than the ones on Burrard.
