Has nothing to do with Musk and everything to do with the privileged identity politics of the NDP that are disgustingly cringeworthy: equity cards, gender identity cards, narcissistic bullying over ‘wrong’ pronouns. This party is completely out of touch with reality. After this past weekend’s spectacle, they’ve shown exactly why they’ve earned their downward spiral into irrelevance in the House of Commons.

I'm not defending everything Avi Lewis might have said or stands for, partially because I'm only aware of a fraction of his policies. I suppose we'll hear more as time goes on, but if media pundits can be believed, there will be some friction between segments of the party, and they will have a difficult time staking out a centrist position in the country, if that's their goal.
As for "X", it's ownership by Elon Mush has a lot to do with the kind of things that get posted there. Since his purchase of Twitter, that platform's user base has shifted significantly to become a hub for conservative, far-right and self-proclaimed "citizen journalists". If posts on "X" largely condemn Avi Lewis and demean the entire country, as some have suggested, it's highly probable that those posters share an agenda to insult and discredit any political position that promotes any kind of wealth distribution or ecological stewardship, whatever it's value might be. That's not political commentary, that's warping the narrative towards an extremely narrow and self-serving view.
