Do we have an idea of what the benchmark is for the south tower to start construction?

I'm not sure it's a definite anymore but if it does get built I think when this finishes.

Of course things get delayed these days.

Chicago knows how to place a tower in its skyline. B-E-A-Utiful.

i gotta say, this one looks impressive looking down the river from further west, really caps a void between tribune and vista.

I never got closer than Northerly Island yesterday, and din't have my camera or binoculars, but it looked like some sort of vertical piece was sticking out from atop the concrete. It almost looks like a concrete pump, but that has been Gond for a while. Perhaps part of the BMU?

As always I wait to have a final opinion until I see the final product in person (last time in Chicago was Sept. 2024), but as of now I still really hate the vertical pinstripes. It also looks like it should be the shorter of the two towers rather than the taller, but to each his own.

No it's the taller.

Original plans had the north tower taller than south but it is now reversed. South tower is expected at 765 ft.

Damn.... Ok - I love it now lol

I was really hoping this thing would start to pop towards the end with the setbacks, and it didn't disappoint.

^ For me, 1000M and NEMA have got to be among the top 5 because they expanded the skyline so far south. I am inclined to include 400 LSD but it's really too short for this location. Seeing it in person in late April may help me make up my mind.

I am not fond of the dated looks of One Bennett.

I really hope they execute the crown well. It looks so stumpy at the top… I hope the crown will make the top look less stumpier
