Today's departure count: 71

Sun flights count (both transborder & international): 12

Today's cancellation count (so far): 3

The afternoon PD to FLL went from gate 12C. That must be the corridor to gate 14. BOS went from 12B, which must mean gate 13.

AC 345 on 28, AC 888 on 17B & AF 327 on 15.
That AC MBJ flight is an error, it's been replaced by another CUN turn until mid-February (the Sunday CUN flight begins next week). Today is the first WS MBJ flight of the season though.

I didn't grab AC889 but AC888 tonight is 16/20 J and 20/21 PY.

Edit: nevermind, AC's MBJ has been removed completely for the season, meaning CUN is 5x weekly for the whole winter. So that's 945 weekly pax each direction on AC, compared to only 396 last winter on 3x weekly Rouge 319s (or 528 if you lump TQO in with CUN). Couple that with Porter adding 6x weekly flights, and CUN capacity is way up year-over-year.

That gets CUN capacity back up to and even beyond 2023-24 when F8 and WS were still on YOW-CUN.

Today's departure count: 83

Sun flights count (both transborder & international): 9

Today's cancellation count (so far): 1

WS tonight have a YYZ ferry at 22:39 (running 3 hours late). I'm guessing they're rotating in-out a 189Y 737.

Do you feed this info to the local 'Your morning' CTV crew (cancellations and such)?

Just saw it this morning with the cancellation and departure info on their feed. Maybe they are sucking it from here?

LOL I don't but I'd love to see a screenshot of that...or do they just flash the FIDS on TV?

It's usually on the white sidebar thing during their broadcast. (6 to 9 am). I just noticed it yesterday.

Edit - Not quite the same, but they had this info this morning:

In the middle of the day today from 1215 to 1450 there’s a 1h50 gap between departures. AF327 & the aforementioned 77W on 15 today, AC 345 on 28 and AC 888 on 17

Today's departure count: 77

Sun flights count (both transborder & international): 5

Today's cancellation count (so far): 0 - impressive given the snow

The 77W must be a last-minute swap as I see the return flight is still listed as a 772. At the moment, it's scheduled to arrive within a few minutes of another TS 332 military charter from RIX.

AC889 is 12/19 J and 13/21 PY today, AC888 is 14/20 J and 20/21 PY. It's on FIN 807 which just returned from the paint shop yesterday, getting the "new" livery (the livery is almost nine years old).

In other news, TS has avoided a pilot strike. YOW was unaffected as there have been no flights Tuesday/Wednesday anyways. That changes next week with POP coming online (Tuesday) and PUJ going to 4x weekly (Wed/Thurs).

Could be a swap indeed as the initial flight plan filed was on the 772 but then subsequently a plan was filed on the 77W.

AC has started to load in schedule changes for the summer - only May/June have been loaded so far. Since the 7M8s are going to Rouge, unsurprisingly effective May 1st YVR is switching over to 321s (not the XLRs). And starting mid-June, it looks like there will be a fourth daily flight. Unfortunately, looks like the 789 is being reduced to 2-3x weekly ops rather than daily. Here's what's loaded:

AC341 0500 YOW YVR 0716 321 D
AC343 0930 YOW YVR 1146 321 D
AC345 1745 YOW YVR 2001 321 days x136 (days x13 in May)
AC345 1800 YOW YVR 1955 789 days 136 (days 13 in May)
AC347 2135 YOW YVR 2354 D eff 18JUN26

AC342 0855 YVR YOW 1640 321 days x136 (days x13 in May)
AC342 0855 YVR YOW 1633 789 days 136 (days 13 in May)
AC344 1300 YVR YOW 2045 321 D
AC346 1710 YVR YOW 0055+1 321 D
AC348 0050 YVR YOW 0829 321 D eff 19JUN26

Interesting that for the first part of summer, there's no red-eye so likely there will be two RON frames - or perhaps some rotation with YYZ. An adjustment has also been loaded for YYC, switching to a 321 with a different timing:

AC356 1120 YYC YOW 1715 321 D
AC357 1815 YOW YYC 2041 321 D

YUL also seems to be 8x (which I think is an increase?) with a mix of DH4, CR9 and a single E75 turn which I don't think we've had in a while. YYZ holds at 10x and YTZ at 6x.

I’ve noted E75 showing up a few times on YOWDCA recently.

0500 departure to YVR - wowza. Overall a net capacity increase even though the 789 is reduced to 3x weekly - although remember all the issues with AC 345 this summer, including the downgauges so maybe this solves that issue. Maybe it means LHR is going to increase to daily.

Interesting there's adding a 2120 YUL departure. That'll hardly connect to anything at YUL...although the inbound will connect to a couple of things at YOW including AC 347.

For YHZ, looks like AC from 20-30JUN26 are down temporarily to 2x daily, but then go to 4x daily on 01JUL26. Also in July, PD have an extra YHZ on Saturdays.

I suppose that early YVR departure still may change, I believe they loaded an 0530 departure this winter before shifting it. I also wouldn't read much into the July schedule for YHZ, it still seems to be boilerplate at this point (i.e. a carbon copy of last summer).

As for the 789, looks like they are running it daily on YVR-EWR this summer. On Saturdays in May they are running YVR-HNL on a 789 hence why YOW is only 2x weekly before the Saturday turn comes back in June. Plus YVR-BKK is also going year-round 3x weekly, so the 789 fleet is stretched a bit more thin.

AC has loaded the schedule changes through Labour Day now. YHZ is 3x for the summer. So to summarize:

YYZ 10x
YUL 8x (all Jazz)
YTZ 6x
YVR 4x (all 321s except for a 3x weekly 789 turn)
YHZ 3x (all PAL)
YYC 1x
YWG/DCA 1x (Jazz CR9 as usual - Saturday ops restored on DCA)
YFC/YQM/YQB 1x (all PAL)
LHR 4x weekly (days 1346, operated by a 333)

So unless I've missed a destination, 37 AC daily departures in total (38 on days AC888 operates).

September 2025 numbers are out from the US DOT. Not great numbers all around, especially Porter.

Porter
MCO: 2605/4620 = 56.4%
FLL: 2545/4620 = 55.1%

EWR: 3472/7878 = 44.1%
BOS: 2485/4446 = 55.9%

Jazz
DCA: 2358/4180 = 56.4%

United
EWR: 10985/15698 = 70.0% <-- I believe this was 4x daily most of the month. No surprise that didn't last long
ORD: 10466/12044 = 86.9%
IAD: 7200/9000 = 80.0%

The large number of people avoiding the U.S. starting to show in the numbers?
