It will probably do ok in that area, especially with Eastern Health taking over the old Costco location. Gonna be lots more traffic in that area in the near future.

The Commonwealth Avenue mystery building will be a Taco Bell. That's according to employees at the banks on either site of it. They said they kind of got an inside track since equipment from the site was used to damage both banks.

That’s all cool and all but I’ll wait til we get an official announcement from Taco Bell Canada or the City of Mt Pearl. At this point it could still be just about anything. I guess we’ll get a better clue once exterior cladding is put up on the building. I went by there last weekend and they were prepping the parking lot. The building is now enclosed but still has no exterior cladding or windows installed yet. The mystery continues…

Taco Bell rumors, and people saying "I have inside knowledge that someone told me it's Taco Bell" have been around for as long as I've been living in this city, which is pushing on 20 years now.

Believe it when there's an official announcement, nothing less.

I won't believe it until I am walking out the door with a bag of tacos.

Detailed story in AllNL.
Franchisees are based in Ontario (Pragnesh, Vishal, and Hiren Patel). They own 2 in NS and 2 in NB.

This is not a local story but i think i saw some members on here once wishing for an Olive Garden to open here. Those hoping for that may get their wish in the future as Recipe Unlimited…the company that owns Swiss Chalet, Montana's, the Keg, Harveys and many others has just purchased all 8 Olive Garden locations in western Canada with plans to expand across the country. So we may get one eventually. Theres a great location at the mall where the chinese buffet restaurant was located and is now vacant. St Huberts Chicken restaurant was also there originally.

Little Caesars Atlantic Expansion

Little Caesars announced new locations for half (18/36) of Orange Stores in NL, NS and PEI. A bunch here already have them or Dairy Queen/Tim Hortons/Subway.

Taco Bell confirmed

Taco Bell 🔔 is officially coming to Mount Pearl. All Newfoundland confirmed it's the first of a possible 3 and a planned opening of November 2025.

Please post the official link of your story. Unless there’s an official announcement from Taco Bell Canada, this is just hearsay like all the others.

It's a subscription-based news service. They interviewed the franchisee.

I’ll just a see what Taco Bell Canada says.

They have walls and widows installed at the construction site now so one exterior colours go up, we’ll get a better clue soon.
