You can tell this guy is a hardcorer NDPer, anti-con, that lives in Regina.
He makes the comment that I. Regina you can get a house for $300k, with him thinking that $1.3M is absolutely insane to have a GST cut cause $1.3M would buy mansions in Regina.
He obviously doesn’t realize the average home price in TO last year was $1.1M.
He call it out as completely insane to give a GST cut for houses up to $1.3M
Where I do agree with him thoygh is that it probably should be applied to first time home buyers But on the flip side is the intended goal is to build a whole bunch of houses, and only applying that to first homes it limits the market. So what if an investor wants to build 100 properties because of the GST cut, there’s 100 new properties that maybe wouldn’t have been there without.
Regardless, this guy is obviously completely biased to the left wing.
