Most of what was mentioned to do in the write-up of Flatbush, Brooklyn, is in either Prospect-Lefferts Garden or Crown Heights. They should've just named one of those places as the cool 'hood.

Biggest misnomer this side of GAWC. This should be labeled "30 random cool neighborhoods," except that wouldn't have people arguing about it and generating clicks.

Strathbungo. That name wins.

Brewerytown for Philadelphia? Wtf lol

Great, up and coming neighborhood for sure, but coolest in Philadelphia? That would probably go to Fishtown at the moment.

^ re-read mhays' post above.

these annual "coolest neighborhood" lists from timeout are much better understood as "here are a bunch of neighborhoods from cities around the world that people on our staff have recently been to and really enjoyed"

but if they actually named it that, nobody would click.

ya gotta manufacture some controversy if you want eyeballs!

Weird list.

The only one I've been to recently that I concur with is Principe Real in Lisbon.

But Mt Pleasant in DC? Brewerytown in Philly?

They're nice, improving neighborhoods with a lot of new development.

But coolest? That's a stretch.
