Going from slum housing to 3000 sqft is quite the leap. There is is Overton window when it comes to housing, and the normalization of people living in decrepit conditions is a problem for everyone.

The average young professional Canadian in cities can barely afford studio or 1 bedroom apartments, barring the Bank of Mom and Dad. I think it would be nice to strive for a society the middle class can afford 3000 sqft.
