That’s exactly what it is! You’ve summed it up perfectly. Human warehouses. Here’s a similar view:

Yikes, leave it to Dubai to come up with the most horrendous schlock ever to assault the eyes of unwitting onlookers.

Reminds me a bit of Drumheller (smaller valley and hills though). Something so ugly as this compound doesn’t belong in such a nice vista.

Yeah definitely looks like something near but not in Drumheller. Transition area into full Badlands

Is this real? good lord.

Dubai, man. It just never ends. The amount of money that this place takes in is just staggering.

Most of the worlds city building sins can be found in Dubai. Ugly buildings that are built without a real reason to build them, huge car dependency, huge environmental footprint, huge changes to shorelines, a great reliance on foreign labour that is taken advantage of and a place that 'influencers' go to in order to shill their products all contribute to a place that I'm in no rush to visit. Put it in the same category as Vegas and Orlando for me.

This is so wrong on so many levels. I'm sure this is the ugliest house in the country.

Well said. I've travelled all over the world (something like 25 countries to date, 4 continents), but I have never (yet) visited Dubai, Orlando, or Vegas. All three places are not on my bucket list.

Of the three, I am most likely to visit Dubai, just because it is so over-the-top, and because it is a major transfer hub.

I hope to never visit Orlando.

It looks really big from that first photo, until you realize half of the footprint is garages
Weird layout and low ceilings for a ~2,900 sq ft redneck ranch property

c.1973 snout condo townhouse. Weird entryway considering it's an end unit

Interior somehow has a better layout than Sask-a-ranch

And there is no beach in Orlando.

I'd rather be just about anywhere else in Europe or Asia.

I've been to Florida. Meh.

Now Hawaii, that's a place that is worth the insane prices. So much so, that I have been there four times (2001-Oahu, 2005-Maui [Honeymoon], 2011-"Big Island", 2024-Kauai).

I went to Disney World this last spring for the third time. This time we footed the entire bill for myself, my wife, our three sons, two significant others and two grandchildren (nine people). We booked two villa level suites at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for eight days, got seven day multipark passes, and full meal packages for all nine people, and, paid for flights to and from Florida. Now, convert the cost from USD to CDN, and try to imagine just how much it cost.

Try harder.

Harder still..............

But, a fun time was had by all.

Thank God I'm a rich doctor.

Disney just gave tourists another reason not to visit, besides high cost. Ugly company
