^ A lot has happened since you drove by the area!
  • The Boyle St homeless shelter was demolished
  • New development has sprung up from the EPCOR site
  • Capital Tower is being renovated
  • The building on the SW corner was repainted with more bright cheerful colors
  • Asian eatery called One01 Bistro opened
  • Japanese Village is coming soon
  • Just 1 or 2 blocks away is Rogers Place, which recently played host to the Stanley Cup finals

Let the gentrification continue!

Justin Bieber reminds us to 'never say never'.

Whether it is on one side or the other, no big deal, but some sort of lighter infrastructure destination on the river could be pretty popular.

Fawkes Coffee on 104 St. is 5 weeks from fully opening as per the owner. It is going to be open until at least 10 PM most days which is awesome as there are very few, if any, coffee shops Downtown that are open past 5 PM.

Fawkes will open at about the same time when the downtown farmers market wraps up on October 12.
Brilliant.

Brilliant.
Not like they can control permitting and contractor timelines perfectly - it'll be open for next year's market.

Yup, retiring as the lease comes to an end. End of an era for that joint.
