Wonder if they'll do all the landscaping before starting the actual hospital or if they'll leave it bare for a few years.

Great shots! Glad to see it's set back far enough from the street and they have been able to keep a lot of the trees along Carling. Yes, some new greenery is needed, but maintaining some of those mature trees is much preferred.

Is it just me or does the closest stair tower to Carling/O-Train station NOT have an elevator?

One would think if you're walking, you'd take a vertical approach to get to the pedestrian walkway on the roof that will get you to the hospital, rather than walking the sidewalks and innards of the garage?

I assume that they will have dedicated walkways along the main floor of the garage, kind of like what you see at the airport, and the elevators closer to the main building. That way, they can focus on pedestrian safety on one level of the garage rather than multiple.

The closest stair is near the trench, it looks like there is an elevator shaft there.

Sure hope there's an elevator, cause the people who designed the walkway from Dow's Lake Station are depending on it.

Limited progress on the western side. Here's the view from the end of Champagne Ave S.

It seems to me that this may easily be the largest parking garage/structure in the NCR. Would that be correct?

I think the biggest right now is Place de Ville with 1,100 or so. This will be what, 2,500?

I know the airport's parking structure can fit ~2,600.

Didn't even think about the airport. So the Civic's might be slightly smaller than the airport's, if we're just counting the number of parking spots. The Civic's new parking garage includes significant bike parking (310 indoor, 225 outdoor) and a roof top park, so I imagine the structure itself will be larger.

There's also Bayshore Mall. It might have more. They have 'over 4000' spaces, mostly in the parking structures.

That's a lot of parking. Is it ever even full?

Good on Bayshore for being super land efficient at least.

During the holidays it gets close! Bayshore took a huge gamble on their big reno and the garage re-construction but they have cemented themselves as the #2 mall in the region (behind Rideau). With the incoming condos/apartments/LRT it only stands to get busier.
