Yes. The developer has financing secured through Walker & Dunlop. Final DRB approval is slated for August or September with construction starting in early 2025. The city is providing $3 million also for improvements around the site.

Update on some downtown area projects-


Canvas: On hold. Slated to start construction sometime in 2025.

Kimpton: Construction slated to start in October 2024.

Main at Markley: On hold. Slated to start construction sometime in 2025.

Prospect Hill: Construction slated to start in late 2024.

County Square: Construction underway. First mixed use building on site started construction last week.

Mosaic: Construction slated to start in Summer 2025.

Gateway site: Construction slated to start in March 2025.

The McDaniel: Construction underway.

Biltmore Park: Construction slated to start in Fall 2024.

319 Rhett: Construction slated to start in early 2025.

The Avant: Construction slated to start in Fall 2024.

Broadview: Construction underway and nearing completion.

10 Howe: Construction slated to start in Fall 2025.

The Summit: Construction slated to start in Fall 2024.

Unity Park Honor Tower: Construction underway.

Mayberry Village: Construction underway.

Woven: Construction slated to start in Fall 2024.

515 Pendleton Street: Construction slated to start in Fall 2024.

The 19 story one (Canvas) is on hold. The 16 story one is the Gateway project. Obviously it’s a lot taller now due to changes the developer made. Lol.

City hall project which I thought was dead now moving forward:

Extension and renovation of the current city hall building. The current building is 141 feet tall. Six stories will be added to it making it around 240 feet tall.
