Looking decent enough so far. Certainly better than the nearby stuff on the other side of Brunswick.

Is it me or is this seeming to be taking forever to finish

It's not just you... this is taking a while. I think I remember this site being shut down a few times due to accidents/injury. That suggests to me that it might not be well-run, which might lead to delays as well as safety concerns.

Hopefully it wraps up soon, and safely. The hotel portion is open and accepting guests, I believe.

I have only seen pictures, but the hotel looks strange inside. I got a definite hipster vibe as the finishes looked like a cross between a dorm room and a Euro resort, a very strange mix. My initial reaction was that it didn’t look like a place I would want to stay at.

The Lisbon Moxy has a really cool exterior the way those windows protrude like that.

The Moxy Brand is meant to market to a different demographic. Usually younger, light packing traveller types.

In Halifax you already have 5-6 different Marriott properties that cater well to families and business travellers.

I've stayed in a Moxy in Lisbon (Oriente) and Dublin and enjoyed some of the unique features they offered. It was great for me and my wife. I wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for those looking for lots of space though.

Man, some of those triangular floor plans are awkward.

Huh. I’ve never seen anything quite like those. Bizarre.

Icon Bay (50 Bedford Highway) has some comparable layouts. When my wife and I toured the building back when it opened in 2016 or so, we found the floor plans a little disorienting. Clearly, the developers are motivated to market every cubic inch of available space.

I inquired about rent and one bedrooms are starting at $1,700 while two bedrooms are starting at $2,800. $1,700 is surprisingly on the lower end of the range when it comes to rents in new builds. All utilities are extra though.
