I get it... CN has a business to worry about that is in many ways incompatible with residential development. And while that has been the use of the land in question for a very long time, standards are different today and the company needs to consider the future.
But they're operating in an urban area, with its own needs and challenges. There can be compromises made.
Hopefully Horwath and team can break through the legal impasse toward productive discussion and resolution.
