The Nairn proposal is the old 7-eleven. Approx. 100 units, mixed use.

The Sherbrooke proposal is demo of 4 houses. Approx. 108 units, mixed use.

Is there a big demand for that sort of thing? With vacancy rates so low again I would think apartments would be a no-brainer.

I don't know if it still happens but years ago when large companies and govt agencies get consultants in for more than a few days, they were put up in longer term places like Holiday Towers on Hargrave.

That was an interesting listing. The property owner (I think Imperial Oil) did not want another convenience store on the lot and there was a clause in the public listing that the 7/11 building had to be demolished a short time after the sale was completed.

there was probably more interesting stuff available about the site if one wanted to sign a NDA to view more documents.

^ Now why couldn't that new building at Portage and Minto have done it this way, with a wall against the main street and parking behind?

Some rendering magic there. Nairn is a veritable wasteland compared to that render.

That is huge for Nairn and will dramatically change the street. Much needed, way too many small SFD along there.

It looks very similar to the newly built building to the north.

This is a nice addition but Nairn is going to need a lot of help. Industrial and parking lots as far as the eye can see on one side and and economically depressed neighbourhood on the other. That's a tough combo.

Hoping they actually install the trees they show. Nairn is generally a dusty wasteland as you mention.

266 Marion. Parking ratio is about .5 per unit. It’s affordable housing so the requirements are much lower. It also looks different from Des Meurons because of that.

All three tenant spaces are now leased at Des Meurons.

Anyone know the architect of that regent proposal? It’s quite nice.

Seems weird if so, it just had a whole bunch of work done on it. If you search 266 you get an older street view shot with a noticeably older facade and no fence on the west end.
