New plans filed for CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington
Oct 21, 2016
Quote:
The CentrePointe project was approved back in 2008. Now, the Webb Companies has filed a new set of plans to fill the space in downtown Lexington.
The plans filed Wednesday included two hotels, an office tower, a restaurant, and retail space.
The developer of the project, Dudley Webb, says they are keeping the same design as before, but are placing the apartments into a different building.
The previous plan had the apartments going into both hotel buildings. New plans call for the apartments to be placed above the office building, The office building will go on the corner of Limestone and Main Street.
Webb says the two hotels will be the Marriot Hotel and Residence Inn. The restaurant is planned to be a Jeff Ruby's Steak House.
The office building and Jeff Ruby's Steak House should be finished by April of 2018. Webb says he hopes to see the hotels completed in August of that same year.
Construction has begun here on the underground garage, which Webb says should be completed in about seven months.
