I've been building w/Lego since the 70's, and when I saw that building with the curve, I know right then that you can't do a curved building w/Lego, the best I can do is heavily serrated edges. So you can buy speciality parts from Bricklink.com. Interesting!
I also mix Mega-blocks w/Lego because Lego is so slow in introducing new colors. When Mega-blocks came out with their Tropical color collection, I went ape! Ran around town, scooping buckets of them off the shelves!
Why is Lego so slow in introducing new colors!!!
Now, with Mega-blocks, I can make pink, turquoise, lime-green, orange and purple buildings, or mix them up with my Lego collection!
I have 30 skyscrapers in my living room, some up to the ceiling, and I'm going to make an honest effort of trying to upload some photo's of them. I don't pattern any of my buildings after real buildings already built, mine are all fantasy towers! And I think in terms of mixed colored, all-glass buildings!
That was one of the disappointments with Legoland, as I surveyed the buildings, as a number of these buildings were utilizing specialized parts you can't find in the Lego buckets!
