I suspect the lack of a stop at Heron Bridge is due to technical challenges. Currently the bus runs on the outside lane of the road, so the sidewalk is used as the bus stop. With BRT, the bus will be on the inside lane, so the stop platform will be in the middle of the road and there won't be room to add a platform on the bridge. As soon as you move the platform to the either side of the bridge, it would be very close to either the Prince of Wales Dr. stop or the Riverside stop. Also, given that there is no intersection there, they would need to build a pedestrian overpass to get the pedestrians to the side of the road.

An improved transfer at Confederation and a Rideau River pedestrian bridge would likely serve those students instead.
