I was only saying that something along the lines of this and The Austonian would look nice for the CCH, not exactly this design. Secondly, the reason this design was shot down wasn't because residents didn't like it, it was because residents opposed them tearing the pre existing buildings down to accommodate the large footprint of the tower as well as opposing a misunderstanding about "tax increment financing" and how the city was financing the project. This would have been the cities tallest building if they would have gone forward with it. The original developers then went through several variations before finally giving up and another company came in with the final design showed below. I find it funny you think what they got instead is much better, the final product is absolutely dull and where do you get "Modern"?
