France is a spider web where small towns feed minor hubs which feed major hubs which feed western Europe's major cities all of which have fantastic transit relative to Alberta. Feed is integral. Calgary/Edmonton/Red Deer have no feed of consequence at all. These 3 cities by themselves, do not have enough potential traffic to support one HSR without heavy government involvement which could prove to be suicidal.
