Next up?
Richmond under/over pass? or
Talbot street can opener or
Wharncliffe CN overpass replacement?

Which one should be approved next?
The CN Wharncliffe bridge was supposed to start around 2019 after the CP Wharncliffe bridge was done. Did they put this on hold until after Adelaide bridge or are they doing a new bridge every 2-3 years then?

Interesting that in looking back at the proposals from the public meeting last winter, they mention the preferred routing of the temporary roadway being on the west side of Adelaide so that the underpass can be dug out. But it doesn't show anything about a temporary rail diversion for that. Can they excavate and build the underpass with the railway still in place?

It's a rendering, of course it looks nice

I'm sure if they had a rendering for the Richmond CN underpass it would have also looked nice compared to the grit and cracks it has today

I guess it will be official next Monday when the report recommends an underpass.

https://lfpress.com/news/local-news/community-prefers-adelaide-street-underpass-to-overpass-report

Hopefully they start in early 2021 and then start work ASAP on the Richmond-CP track planning. A solution to this crossing is needed.

Am I reading that right - underpass going as far south as Queens Ave? That's quite a ways away...

I think it's just bad wording in the article making it sound like the underpass would run from Queens up to Oxford. That's more like a tunnel lol.

I think whatever genius at LFPress didn't read the report, and just saw that the study area is from Queens to Oxford thought that's was the underpass..

Stood they're moving ahead with this. Ironic that this will likely see constriction sooner than Wharncliffe/CN, even though it's EA was started much later.

We need underpasses and overpasses not just new signs and removing weeds

This is a drop in the bucket and it will not solve anything:

One more step to getting the underpass was taken today.

Expected to start 2021.

That one is more of a designated heritage property... Another century old cookie cutter.... Sigh, and an elderly woman not wanting it moved across the street. Untill she dies that will be among the worst intersections, especially for the safety of pedestrians. It's absurd.

Why does this have to wait until 2021? Why not much sooner?
