I went to Napier during the Easter break but unfortunately I came across hideous rainy weather (which is unusual in this part of New Zealand) nevertheless I managed to take some pictures
Napier is a small city of 58.000 people in the North Island of the country and it's the largest producer of pears and apples.
The city was destroyed by a huge earthquake in 1931 and it was completely rebuilt in art deco style which was the prevalent architectural style at that time
Have you also been to Hastings? While it has less Art Deco buildings than Napier, it definitely has the more spectacular ones IMO and it is just a short drive away from Napier.
