129-131 Base Line Road West - 14s

A 14s building is proposed on Base Line Road West, west of Wharncliffe. A house currently exists on the property, and there are several apartment buildings nearby.

RPH Developments is the developer.

Another nice infill for Baseline Rd. Not sure this RPH Developments has any track record of building any high rise buildings anywhere thou.

The public meeting for this proposed apartment building will be on May 23rd at the planning committee meeting.

City planning staff is recommending that Council approve the zoning change for this 14 storey apartment building. Goes to the Planning and Environment committee on May 23rd.

LFP article on this proposal and two others.


The litany of the same NIMBY talking points for all three zoning applications is more then tiresome.


"Feedback from public meetings included concerns about the height and density, a lack of affordable housing, amenities and greenspace, too many parking spots, the removal of trees, a lack of ground-floor commercial and office space and fatigue from area construction, among others."

Planning committee unanimously approved the zoning change to allow for this proposed 14 storey apartment building.

Goes to full council for a vote on June 6th.

City council unanimously approved this today.
