Right, but in the situation where they're not working during these events (which is most of them), it shouldn't be that big of a deal to just add/extend turn signals from 6–11 on event days, for example. Account for overtime regardless, it's not that big a deal if there's a long turn signal for an extra hour than needed because a game finished in regulation and not OT.

I'm sure traffic after Jets games could be drastically improved with event-day signal settings. Extend the north-south exits from downtown (Main, Donald, Osborne, Sherbrook) from 9:30–11:00 on Jets game days, for example.
